Small Mines Roadshow kicks off for 2026

The Small Mines Roadshow has kicked off for 2026.

Inspectors from the Resources Regulator are touring the state, hosting 15 events to strengthen safety performance across the small mines and quarry sector.

The series has kicked off with the Newcastle, Tamworth, Griffith and Mulwala events hosting more than 150 industry representatives.

The annual Roadshow brings together small mine and quarry operators, supervisors and workers for a fullday workshop designed to support safer operations and stronger leadership practices.

This years theme is The role of leadership and due diligence in maintaining good safety standards, which reflects the Regulators focus on accountability and proactive risk management across the sector.

This is a great opportunity for the small mines and quarry sector to engage directly with the Resources Regulator, ask questions, and discuss safety challenges specific to smallscale operations.

Information on the remaining events is available on the NSW Resources website.
