Leadville mine

Leadville Mine is located approximately 15 kilometres east of Dunedoo in Central West NSW. Silver ore was first discovered in Leadville in 1887 and the mine opened in 1888. A smelter was erected in 1892-1893 and treated 15,000 tonnes of ore, which yielded 29,203 oz of silver and 1,539 tonnes of lead.

Captains Flat (Lake George) mine

The Lake George Mine is at Captains Flat, approximately 50 kilometres south east of Canberra. The mine operated over several decades starting in the late 1880s and closing in the 1960s, producing lead, zinc, copper, pyrite, silver and gold.
