Wilkinson fatality review

Following four fatal incidents in FY 2013-14, the Wilkinson fatality review was commissioned by the NSW Government to identify and respond to any systematic and underlying issues contributing to serious incidents.

Wran mine safety review

The NSW Government commissioned the Wran mine safety review in 2004 as the next step in the plan to see NSW achieve zero mine fatalities and serious injuries.

Gretley inquiry

On 14 November 1996, four workers at the Newcastle Wallsend Coal Company’s Gretley Colliery were killed due to an inrush of water. The NSW Government carried out an investigation into the circumstances that led to the incident.

Mine safety review

The Review of Mine Safety in New South Wales was commissioned by the NSW Government against a backdrop of continuing death and serious injuries in the state's mining industry.

The review was asked to identify key safety issues which needed to be addressed in order to achieve a significant improvement in industry safety performance.
