The unit of competence RIIBLA401E Manage blasting operations (or equivalent superseded versions) is a pre-requisite for all new applicants for the quarry manager certificate of competence. RII60220 - Advanced Diploma of Extractive Industries Management is an eligible qualification.

For Mining engineering manager of coal mines, RII60720 Advanced Diploma of Surface Coal Mining Management is an eligible qualification.
