2023 exam calendar released

Dates for 2023 Certificate of Competence exams are now available. Updates include: 

  • The new WHS (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Regulation 2022 will be examined from 2023. 

  • The unit of competence RIIBLA401E Manage blasting operations (or equivalent superseded versions) is a pre-requisite for all new applicants for the quarry manager certificate of competence. RII60220 - Advanced Diploma of Extractive Industries Management is an eligible qualification. 

  • For Mining engineering manager of coal mines, RII60720 Advanced Diploma of Surface Coal Mining Management is an eligible qualification.  

All applications and exam registration must be submitted via the Resources Regulator Portal
