The metalliferous electrical engineers' forum is a collaborative event designed to strengthen safety, share knowledge, and foster professional development across the metalliferous electrical engineering discipline. 

Hosted by the Resources Regulator, the forum provides a vital platform for industry leaders, and technical experts to come together and address emerging challenges in mining engineering.

The industry forum addresses:

  • Emerging issues & trends Inspectors from the Resources Regulator, reviews current developments in electrical practices and highlights areas requiring attention.
  • Expert presentations: content matter experts are invited to present on identified issues, offering practical, real-world insights and solutions.
  • The forum includes a detailed review of recent incidents, topical issues, and lessons learned.
  • Guidelines & standards updates: attendees receive updates on published safety alerts, bulletins, investigation releases, and regulatory changes.
  • Opportunity for direct communication with the Regulator and provides a forum to exchange experiences and best practices with peers.

This event is an essential part of meeting continual professional development (CPD) requirements for holders of practicing certificates. 

Meeting attendees are encouraged to actively participate, share their experiences, and contribute to constructive technical discussions that benefit the wider industry.
