Mechanical Engineering Safety Seminar - MESS 2026

Event • Safety

The Mechanical Engineering Safety Seminar (MESS) returns in 2026 for its 34th year, continuing its legacy as the premier safety event for mechanical engineers in the NSW mining industry.

The 2-day seminar focuses on mechanical safety and health issues in mines and provides a valuable oppportunity for communication, discussion and consultation between engineers and other key industry stakeholders.

Presentations will address a broad range of topics relevant to mechanical engineering in NSW mines, including new and emerging technologies, innovative solutions to mining challenges, findings from incidents and opportunities to learn from other industries and sectors.

Attendees may be able to claim the content of this seminar to meet their maintenance of competency for their practising certificates.

Delegates will only be able to attend in person, there will be no online broadcast of this event.

We are committed to ensuring MESS 2026 is a safe, inclusive and enjoyable event for all. If you or your guests have specific accessibility requirements (eg. wheelchair access, low vision, hearing impaired), please let us know when registering.
