Safety bulletin
This safety bulletin provides safety advice for the NSW mining industry. The use of electricity as an energy source for mains-powered mobile machinery in underground mines is common for equipment associated with mining activities.

This quarterly health and safety performance report has been prepared by the NSW Resources Regulator for mine and petroleum site operators in NSW. It contains industry and sector specific information, in addition to information regarding hazards.
Safety alert
A worker was climbing a scaffolding ladder in a coal handling preparation plant when they fell. The worker fell approximately four metres from a ladder and struck another person working on a lower platform

This report has been prepared for the NSW mining industry, original equipment manufacturers and suppliers. It contains quarterly data of notified incidents involving fires on mobile plant (FOMP) for the period 1 January 2021 to 31 March 2021.
