Key compliance priorities for January to June 2024 published

The NSW Resources Regulator has published its Compliance Priorities for January - June 2024 (PDF, 2.65 MB) which sets out the key compliance priorities and proactive assessment programs for the next 6 months.

Publishing this document serves to increase transparency, community and industry confidence in regulatory activities and increase levels of voluntary compliance.

Between January and June 2024 the Regulator aims to complete 8 compliance priorities which includes fires on mobile plant, lifting and cranage, airborne contaminants, audiometric testing, psychosocial awareness, blasting (explosive safety), continued assessment and determination of rehabilitation assessment outcome documents (large mines), and enabling small mines to transition to comply with the new rehabilitation requirements.
