Metalliferous mining engineers' forum

The metalliferous mining engineers' forum is a collaborative event designed to strengthen safety, share knowledge, and foster professional development across the metalliferous mining engineering discipline. 

Hosted by the Resources Regulator, the forum provides a vital platform for industry leaders, and technical experts to come together and address emerging challenges in mining engineering.

The industry forum addresses:

• Emerging issues & trends Inspectors from the Resources Regulator, reviews current developments in mining practices findings from incidents and site assessment, and highlight areas requiring attention.
• Expert presentations: content matter experts are invited to present on identified issues, offering practical, real-world insights and solutions.
• Open Dialogue: attendees are invited to discuss emerging issues at their sites and contribute through questions and reflection to general discussions
• The forum includes a detailed review of recent incidents, topical issues, and lessons learned.
• Guidelines & standards updates: attendees receive updates on published safety alerts, bulletins, investigation releases, and regulatory changes.
• Networking opportunity for direct communication with the Regulator and provides a forum to exchange experiences and best practices with peers.

This event is an essential part of meeting continual professional development (CPD) requirements for holders of practicing certificates.
