The metalliferous mining engineers' forum is a collaborative event designed to strengthen safety, share knowledge, and foster professional development across the metalliferous mining engineering discipline.
Hosted by the Resources Regulator, the forum provides a vital platform for industry leaders, and technical experts to come together and address emerging challenges in mining engineering.
The industry forum addresses:
- Emerging issues & trends Inspectors from the Resources Regulator, reviews current developments in mining practices findings from incidents and site assessment, and highlight areas requiring attention.
- Expert presentations: content matter experts are invited to present on identified issues, offering practical, real-world insights and solutions.
- Open Dialogue: attendees are invited to discuss emerging issues at their sites and contribute through questions and reflection to general discussions
- The forum includes a detailed review of recent incidents, topical issues, and lessons learned.
- Guidelines & standards updates: attendees receive updates on published safety alerts, bulletins, investigation releases, and regulatory changes.
