NSW government datasets
The NSW airborne geophysical survey datasets, acquired as part of the New Frontiers, Exploration NSW and previous initiatives and the joint mapping programs with Geoscience Australia, are available for download from the Australian Government's National Geoscience Portal www.geoscience.gov.au via the Geophysical Archive Data Delivery System GADDS.
Copies of the grid and located data are available on DVD for $110 per project area. A 4 DVD set of statewide grids and digital geo-rectified images (Version II, 2010) are available for $110. Hardcopy colour geophysical images are available for $11 per image.

Open file airborne geophysical surveys data
Open file airborne geophysical data submitted as part of NSW exploration title reporting are indexed in the statewide AEROFIND database. It provides precise locations and metadata of most airborne geophysical surveys carried out for mineral exploration in the state. Currently, there are more than 800 airborne surveys indexed in this database.
All AEROFIND attributes are available through MinView by selecting the ‘Company Geophysics Surveys (Aerofind)’ layer. This is a default layer in the Minerals, Coal and Petroleum views. Use the ‘Spatial Search’ tool to determine survey coverage and parameters.
1:250 000 mapsheet gridded and imagery datasets
Suites of image and gridded data sets of geophysical data (with metadata) generated for each 1:250 000 scale sheet within NSW are available on DVD. Each sheet is approximately 3 gigabytes. The data imaged in GDA94, MGS zone, and NSW Lamberts94 for each 1:250 000 sheet includes:
Aeromagnetic data: TMI, TMI RTP, 1VD TMI, 1VD TMI RTP, 2VD TMI, Greyscale TMI, Greyscale TMI RTP Tilt Filter and TMI RTP over TMI RTP Tilt Filter
Gravity data: Bouguer Gravity, Isostatic Bouguer Gravity, Greyscale Isostatic Bouguer Gravity Tilt Filter, and Isostatic Bouguer Gravity over Isostatic Bouguer Gravity Tilt Filter
Radiometric data: Ternary K/U/Th
Additional: DEM, Landsat-7 Principle Components 1 2 & 3
Formats include: Gridded data (.ers), ECWs, Geo-rectified TIFF (GeoTIFF), Geo-rectified JPEGs
